On April 3, 2026, a commemorative ceremony was held at the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) to officially mark the successful handover of 83 E-RTG (Electrified Rubber-Tired Gantry) cranes.
This significant delivery comprises two major project phases, the first phase totalling 35 units and the second phase totalling 48 units. This handover represents a major leap forward in PTP’s operational capacity and reinforces their commitment to electrified, sustainable port infrastructure.

The ceremony took place at Commissioning Block 1 J and brought together key representatives from PTP, ITP, and MITSUI E&S (MES). The program included:
- Keynote Addresses: Leadership from both PTP and MES delivered remarks reflecting on the collaborative efforts that made this large-scale deployment possible.
- Technical Presentation: A detailed overview of the project’s milestones and the technical advancements of the E-RTG cranes, emphasizing their efficiency and role in modernizing port logistics.
